When I look at my life (other than falling love), all of the most positive shifts in my life, the most game changing, wonderfully transformative paths happened because I signed up for programs from amazing teachers and mentors
For me it started back in 1983 when I signed for a very advanced NLP program (I hadn’t even done the basic programs yet). It was expensive, I had to use my vacation time, I was qualified to be there, and it was challenging to get there. But I felt this resonance with NLP, heard that this amazing NLP trainer was offering this program starting very soon, and I felt compelled to take the chance. It completely changed my life!
Since then, I have been blessed to have several amazing teachers, each one of whom transformed my life.
I was proud of how Energetic NLP helped people, how many people told how it had transformed their lives, but I felt bad about how I was keeping Energetic NLP small, helping a few people when the Energetic NLP community could be helping many more people all over the world. I was not building an organization and certification process that would help more people and help the graduates of the trainings be successful.
Not long ago, I was sitting in your chair, confronted with the opportunity at a program to step up and take a big chance on myself. It was a program for “heart centered entrepreneurs” who wanted to step up and make a bigger difference in the world, For people who wanted to help more people by building and organization to take their work more fully into the world. I felt drawn to be in the program, it spoke to me. I felt excited, fearful, upset, and hopeful at the possibility. It was a huge amount of money and at the time I had just committed to spending several hundred thousand dollars to remolding my house. How could I even be considering this when I was already very, very busy? And where in the world was I going to find the time, and even more scary, the money?
That evening, I walked along the ocean for hours discussing it with a friend and reading the energy. I knew it was the right thing to do, but it scared me. It activated all kinds of resistance (which to me is a good sign).
The truth was that I knew I was being guided to do it.
I knew my M was guiding me to do it.
I was tempted to wait, but I knew the time to act was now. So I said “yes”, and it was another wonderful turning point in my life. It has lead to a whole reinvention of Energetic NLP as a field, and to my creating programs, trainings, and certifications that would help many more people and impower more people to use Energetic NLP in their lives and work.
I know this is a big decision. One that will impact your future forever; whether you choose yes or no. Either choice will propel you toward a particular future that is yours for the taking. In my experience, the only harmful choice is to not choose. When we take decisive action, we are moving quickly into new worlds of possibility. Indecision keeps us stuck and stagnant. A killer to making your unique difference in the world.
So I encourage you to be thoughtful tonight. Give yourself the gift of checking in with your M, and ultimately trust yourself and the knowing that you likely already feel inside. As Price Pritchett wrote, “You must move on the dream. That means you must leave the cover, the safety, that goes with merely wishing for something. You must place your trust in action. And if you must doubt something, doubt your limits.”
I find it very difficult to explain just how life changing being in the M Club is for the members. Saying things like, “You will be happier, more confident, more powerful and effective, and more vital. It is affirming and empowering. It will change your life” sound so vague, because that that will look and feel like is unique to you.
